Data Protection Consultant

While the technology is continuing its rapid evolution, trust is becoming a new dominating currency among customers and individuals in general.  Data protection is therefore a crucial topic for European businesses. Preparing for, and acting according to the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), is a cornerstone in this regard and is a top priority for Visma. The purpose of the GDPR is to safeguard the privacy of individuals in the digital world. In Visma we work hard to ensure privacy on behalf of our customers and Visma. All companies in Visma are involved in this work which is governed on a corporate level in the Visma group. In order to strengthen the corporate GDPR team we are searching for a candidate with a Norwegian law degree who will hold the role as a Data Protection Consultant.


The areas of responsibilities will be to:

  • Assist Visma subsidiaries in a variety of matters related to compliance with privacy legislation, hereunder with regards to marketing, development, internal control, customers or other areas.

  • Participate in creating and communicating routines and procedures within Visma

  • Ensure that internal and external information regarding privacy matters is communicated correctly and kept updated

  • Onboard acquired companies to the privacy framework

  • Participate in audits of privacy compliance in the group’s subsidiaries

  • Provide legal advice within other legal areas such as contractual law and employment law


We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Norwegian law masters degree. Graduates are encouraged to apply

  • Has excellent communication skills, and fluency in Norwegian

  • Is structured, hands-on and solutions oriented

  • Enjoys teamwork
