Service Owner for Visma’s solution to help users help themselves!
We are looking for a service owner for a software called “Help Centre”. This is Visma’s solution to enable our thousands of software users to help themselves and to make sure support requests will not increase at the same speed as the number of customers.
Being a Service owner in Visma, you are responsible for the service delivery towards customers, both when it comes to functional requirements and non-functional such as performance, security, availability, monitoring etc. In addition, the Service Owner is accountable for the total process from defining a user story to releasing to customer, including operations of the service in production.
This is much more than it seems at first glance, and this is a real challenge if you both like speaking to customers and software developers!
What else will you do in this project?
You will ensure that the service is delivered in accordance with Visma’s overall strategy and you will plan product development in accordance with the roadmap.
Also, you will work with user feedback and stakeholder ideas and run the stakeholder process.
You will work closely with the development team consisting of a service architect, several developers and test automation engineers located in 3 cities and countries.

Contribute to limiting user’s and customer’s need for support.
How does the development team work?
In the development project, we use the most recent technologies of the .Net stack and our solution is hosted PAAS on Microsoft Azure. We work agile, we deploy our service several times per week, we have a good set of automated regression tests. The service owner plays an important role in our team.
Degree in Computer Science or similar or
Experience from working in a software support organization or
Experience with working as a service or product owner in a software development team
In addition to:
Knowledge of the software development process from idea to production
Knowledge of agile software development and continuous delivery
Self-motivated and self-driven
Analytical and structured
Ability to prioritize and say no
Fluent in English spoken and written
Willing to travel when necessary
